Waiting on one last judge before critiques; if she doesn't submit before 4, we'll proceed anyway.
And it looks like a repeat of last week.

Carbon's Critiques
Evita Kirchner - Wait @ you actually doing well in a challenge. Sorta. The whole Evita thing makes sense from a narrative and character standpoint, if a little predictable. I don't blame for taking the route though, since the easiest is sometimes the best. I'm glad you decided to take some ****ing critique and actually not wear a poncho this week. I also screamed a bit when you say "I'm wearing a leotard reminiscent of Madonna" and actually linking a picture of Madonna Confused about the lack of outfit in the last song because apparently you wouldn't have time to do a change... it doesn't have to be literal gurl. I was a ****ing robot in my Sissy That Lipsync challenge, and I got high hihihihi. Anyway I'm just nitpicking. Good entry overall. Next week I hope you do something that isn't Evita related since I'm kinda bored of it now, or at the very least you do something super amazing to make up for it.
Allure - I dunno. My first impression is I'm not really a fan of this. Uninspired feels like the wrong word to use, but it's the first one that came to mind when reading over the entry. I quite like the songs individually, but together they don't really form a narrative, which is what I wanted in this challenge. Actually that's a lie, I wanted BJORK from this challenge but none of y'all stepped up, so! It feels like you tried to do a bit of everything in this entry: trying to be the cute avant garde girl, the funny one, and the dancing one, and you didn't do any of them particularly well. I love your look though. Instead of saying face transplant, you should've said how no one can called you two faced. Anyway. NEXT
Nina Williams - I can't believe how much I like this entry You hit the mark for 2/3 songs; I'm not really sure why you decided to include a random burlesque number in the middle, but whatever. Don't do it again. You chose a top 3 Art Angels song, so at least you have a LITTLE bit of taste. I ****ing LOVE your final song though and everything you did with it. It's so stupid and dumb and funny that I can't fault it since I don't think anyone but you could've come up with such a scenario. The runway... eh. The dress is nice. The shoes are awful. The hair is awful. This entire runway week is awful.
Angel Oleander - Every week you seem to be missing the mark. The song selection here is just so "white teen gay" - incredibly predictable and boring, and you didn't do anything particularly fun or exciting with your lipsync narrative. I'm not asking you to reinvent the wheel, but I would like to see you really nail a challenge because you're probably going to be eliminated within 2 challenges if you keep this up. I know there was no word count for this challenge, but alarms should be ringing when you see nearly everyone in this challenge wrote more than a couple sentences for each song. I really encourage you to ask one of the girl's for feedback. All in all, I would've liked to see something a bit more unique.
As for the runway, the concept is cute, but executed poorly. I really don't understand what's happening with the dress or the hair really, and there isn't really a lot of orange here.
Pixel Dark - Come thru multiseason storyline, Acacia Wine This was SO GOOD. This is exactly what I wanted to see from this challenge: fun and unique songs, humorous descriptions that carry that entry, and stuff that only [insert queen name here] can do. It was just so funny. I SCREAMED when the god warrior mix came on "grabs the most homo looking audience member they can find" okay but Chanel has a name.
Overall this was fantastic. I don't really have to a lot to say. This is your challenge to win. Kill me queen.
Nellie Bodhum - I don't have anything to say. You haven't improved at all in these 3 challenges so far. Every entry you've done so far has been messy, despite telling you that you need to refine one thing and stop trying to do everything and failing miserably. I'm not trying to be nasty or ****y, but you haven't done a single thing so far that warrants you staying in this competition. STEP IT UP. If you can't see where you're going wrong, then...

Kunty Clarkson - Hmm. I think this is the first time I'm underwhelmed by you! I'm just gonna put this down to you being time constraint hosting so many orgies in your asshole. The overall narrative was cute and clever and occasionally humorous. The song choices were overall okay. I think your entry could've used some expansion in terms of description and furthering what you were going for, but the elements are there. Make this your only flop week!
Tangerine - Ooo. This was quite well done. The other girls should look to this entry on how to do the challenge well without trying to serve gimmick or trying to funny, glamorous, arty and **** all at once. The song selection is super unapologetic which I love. Again, I don't really have much to say. This is just really well done. Scalp the others!
Moonchild - Hmm, these segmented titles. Very Carbon finale entry. Why do you wanna be me so bad? Anyway, this was a great entry overall. I wish more girls took note and did an entry similar in tone - ie, took a fun concept/narrative and fully committed to it. I like both lip sync looks although your second one is a bit better than the first but I'm glad you included both these looks since it helped developed your entry that much more.

Evita:
You chose fun songs to perform and your descriptions were decent and showed that there was at least some thinking/planning behind this, but I wish they worked together better to tell a more specific story. The first song makes sense to me (and as you pointed out, I’m glad you didn’t do DCFMA), but then going into a song about Madonna muddles the message a bit. In the end, I think it’s in your best interest to avoid Madonna completely since your drag character is already tied to her by the gay community who mostly only know Evita through Madge. I get that the song is about NOT being her, but it’s too on the nose too early in the competition when I’m trying to figure out who Evita is. Your runway look was average for me, but girl, how are you gonna wear that hat at all with that wig? Screaming @ the visual of that tiny hat perched on your wig.
Allure:
Your music taste I LOVE the first song as the opener of a set. It’s moody and sensuous but has that ‘drop’ or whatever that gives you room to show off different vibes. The second song is kind of more of the same; it’s weird that this is your choice for “high energy,” but it’s OK because I love Twigs and like the cohesion. But girl, the 3rd song is so random. Now I love Alicia and I would probably be personally entertained by a queen doing a piano ballad in their set, but this is certainly not the best way to end a drag performance. Do you just slink offstage afterwards? I want a show stopping finale, but a sad ballad. This was really a chance for you to move from the slower/sensuous opening songs to some indie bop at the end. Your look is cute and I really like the idea of the face off thing. Did you photoshop this all on the model? Aciid who?
Nina:
I never realized how Venus Fly is perfect for a drag performance. The Express song seems like a typical song for a burlesque performance (which makes sense), but feels out of place in this set: I can see some relation between Venus Fly and Die Another Day, and they can both play into your character (video game vixen) to a certain extent, but Express seems like something Dame Rose should be performing, not Nina. You have a beautiful gown on the runway, but it doesn’t respond to the spirit of the runway for me.
Angel:
It’s a good idea to start your set with talent, but I see you went a different route. It’s ok though, because it provides a nice transition to your second song, which is a great song and also allows for that angel —> devil transformation. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s cute enough. Like most of the queens this week, I think 2 of your songs speak to each other, but the 3rd is random. In your case, Freakshow seems like a random song you wanted to perform to. Your outfit is cute (Ursula teas) but it took me a good minute to understand what it was cause of that weird image )
Pixel:
I liked your narrative and what the songs represent more than I liked the actual songs. As a judge reading this, that’s a good thing, but if I imagine myself being at a club and having to hear these songs during a drag performance, it’s less of a good thing. A good example is the second song, which is good for a laugh, but not quality and annoying to listen to. Overall though, I think this is successful for you because it shows you using your drag persona in a funny way instead of just being droll and one-note. Your runway is an improvement in that this is the first week you didn’t submit an ugly outfit, but it’s extremely basic.
Nellie:
There’s a joy and lightheartedness in your entries that I really enjoy. Your performance was pretty typical, and in many ways sounds like the kind of drag show I’ve been to. That’s alright, but the issue is that it doesn’t help me understand who you are as a drag queen, which should be clear by episode 3. You are iconic for your drawings however, and I see you’ve stuck with them despite TOO’s feedback. While I don’t love either look, I did scream a bit at the last line. Overall, I think you’re a fun queen to have around, but you need some polish in future entries.
Kunty:
Omg sis, I hate that first song and never knew it’s name, so thank you for educating me. Anyway, I like that your set has such a cohesive theme with the witch thing (and sort of a juvenile thing, although Wicked is of course fun for all ages or whatever). I don’t like ending a set with a ballad, even a power ballad type song like DG, which I can’t stand since hearing Kurt sing it on Glee. Idk, I appreciate the thought behind this set, even though the song choices would make me leave the club. Your runway is fine. I see most queens went with black dresses and orange accessories; your entry coming so late in the group is unfortunate because I feel a bit fatigued by this trend now, but the pattern on the dress is cute. Don’t think that necklace would look good with it though.
Tangerine:
Your descriptions made me think you really thought out this performance and have an idea of how to entertain your audience (and the grammar wasn’t terrible: slay!). I feel kinda weird about drag queens doing male songs, since you’re dressed up as a woman… but you’re man… and then you’re mouthing words sung by men…. It all just gets a bit weird. So having two of them in a 3-song set was jarring for me. The white girl bopping in the Prince video had me in tears tho. I like your performance outfit a lot, but don’t like your runway look a lot: it’s another basic black dress with orange accessories.
Moonchild:
I see transformations are a major theme for this challenge, and I think yours was one of the best. Becoming the Queen of Hearts and performing Heads Will Roll is a little obvious, but it’s a great song and I like the drama of it all, especially coming off such a high-energy song like Maniac. Your show felt cohesive and considered. Did Chanel help you put together Look 1, sis? I love your runway look solely for it not being a black dress with orange accessories. The shoes can go, but the dress is very simple and cute
Eve:
Heart of Glass is seriously one of my least favorite songs of all time. I would walk out of this performance when that song started. Ignoring that for a second, I thought you had good looks, and the song choices were competent. I didn’t get much cohesion from the set and the descriptions were pretty average, putting this performance in the middle of the pack for me… which is pretty much where you were last week. It’s OK to coast for a bit, but remember to step it up before it’s too late.

Evita Kirchner
This is a show I’d want to see! You gave us 3 distinct songs that were different enough to keep us entertained but still tied into you as a queen. I’m starting to see who Evita is and that’s great. You gave camp, you gave high drag, you gave reveals and I lived for it all.
And then. Your runway. I THOUGHT Chanel specifically mentioned we didn’t want any costume mess for this theme but I guess you didn’t hear that part while you were paying for your items at Halloween City. Look, I get everyone is not a fashion queen, but my eyes don’t deserve to be physically assaulted by the gaudiness of your costume. I can’t help but feel you don’t put the amount of energy into your runways that you do into your performances and that is a huge mistake. You put so much thought and precision into your challenge so I know you have it in you, but this look is clearly phoning it in in a really tacky and gharish way. Step it up because I’m just starting to like you.
Allure
Honey, you can say you can sing all you want but it means nothing to me when you use an Alicia Keys song and just say you’re singing to it. Overall, I felt the performance fell flat. The first two songs were so similar, and since you’re leaving it up to me to assume how you sound singing, I’m going to choose to believe you sound like Phi Phi’s acapella during the talent show.
For your look, the paint is stunning. That goes without saying but I’m wondering if you went so out there with the beat because you knew the rest of your look screams basic. The theme was black & orange. Putting on some orange nails over a boring black dress does not meet the theme. These challenges are put in place to CHALLENGE you. If you cannot rise to these challenges, maybe you should try a show that requires less creativity or talent, like Cops.
Nina Williams
The song choices are quite alright and there was a consistent them but I have to ask... Are you an actual drag queen or just a video game impersonator? I get everyone has their inspiration for their drag but almost everything you’ve given us is a nod or direct rip-off of a video game character that very very few of us care about. Do you think ATRL’s Next Drag Superstar is going to be a queen who has so little originality of her own that 90% of her output in this competition, including her entire name, is contributed by Japanese graphic designers?
Angel Oleander
You have the setlist of every baby drag queen at their first amateur show. My coins would stay comfortably in my purse the entire time you were on stage.
Pixel Dark
Here’s the problem with you, Pixel. You’re not actually weird, you’re not actually satanic. Everything you do reeks of so much try hardness that it’s cringey to even read what you wrote. You actually have some solid thoughts and ideas and then you run them all to hell with this incessant need to be this extra satanic figure that you’re not. None of it comes off as natural, believable, likeable, or entertaining. It’s a hot mess and you need to get it together if you have any hopes of not getting your ass dragged the next time I’m subjected to read this asinine ********.
Nellie Boddum
You’re actually one of the few who followed the theme tonight on the runway so I’ll take the day off for reading your drawings this time. Just this once. Your performances were solid, if not a little cliché but you brought humor which is on-brand for you.
Kunty Clarkson
Honestly, nothing here is really impressive or setting you apart from the thousands of other drag queens who have performed all of these songs earlier and likely better than you tonight. You focused more on this Halloween theme instead of focusing on Kunty. If this is your big show that’s meant to impress, I hope you have a day job.
Tangerine
Finally high-energy and some quality performing. Your set was solid, creative, energetic and very you. You are really setting yourself apart from the other queens here as the weeks go by.
Moonchild
You had one of my favorite performances of the night. Your song choices were distinct and diverse while still managing to be cohesive. I want to give a huge shoutout to you for being the only queen to meet the runway challenge and actually excel at it. You’re giving me black and orange completely without a trace of Halloween. Everyone else, take notes. Cause otherwise, you will be losing to Moonchild this season.
Eve Saint Laurence
If you can’t do your job and submit both challenge and runway, I’m not going to do mine and give you the favor of getting critiqued.
To everyone…
STEP IT UP. We are at the final 11 and right now there is only ONE of you who is giving me worthy of the crown. This is a competition and you are meant to stand out. I want to be blown away by the talent, creativity, uniqueness and drive of you gurls. To every single one of you who submitted a black dress and orange wig this week – you are not a drag superstar. You are phoning it in and being lazy. Honestly, I’m so unimpressed with most of you that I think Chanel needs to go back to the queens left out a casting week cause so many of you are wasting this opportunity. Step. It. Up.

Evita Kirchner
Challenge
First song has a fantastic description that really helped me understand why you chose it for the most part. I wish the outfit was more Spanish-esque, because it comes off as campy Marie Antoinette and doesn't really work. I think it's super smart to put the second song in your setlist where you did. It's like Countess Luann tried doing a cover of "People Are Still Having Sex" and Hi Fashion got inspired and wrote this song. I wish you would have done the costume reveal at the beginning of the song and not near the end, because I couldn't imagine this slinky electro song being done all camped up. The last song is one of my ALL TIME favorites (I was such a stan their first era), and I agree with you thinking you need a song everyone knows after doing two obscure ones. I wished I had more cohesion within the songs because this is a little all over the place.
Runway
I would say this is flawless if two things were missing. The hat that wouldn't fit on top of that beautiful wig, and the shoes missing from a trance rave festival circa 2005. I get the Clockwork Orange references and appreciate that it's not a black dress with orange makeup like a ton of other girls did.
--
Allure
Challenge
The first song by Sevdaliza would fit perfectly with an aerial lyra routine. I imagine it very Violet Chachki-esque - not much tricks but keeping it just interesting enough to make it through the whole song and serve something new in the lip sync world. On to the second song, you better come for my voguing gig with this song! The cohesion between the previous song and this one is spectacular. Very easy to imagine a good drag performance for this. I'm a little lost at the third song though, it really stands out agains the Twigs & Sevdaliza song. I know this is you singing now and not another lip sync but I'm sure you could have found an indie electronica song that could have showed off your voice and really showcased how fine tuned your persona is.
Runway
You're coming for Aciid's gig here with this outfit! It's kinda middling for me - I wish it either went all out crazy blood and face transplants and gore, or for you to have just stayed with the glamorous dress and accessories. It just looks too mix matched and doesn't serve Glamour Ghoul to me as much as you probably wished. However, the taste level is still great here.
---
Nina Williams
Challenge
Why did I SCREAM at the silhouette picture The "purple pleated chiffon organza" is very Robbie Turner "I didn't know this was today" and then Nina's Tekken ensemble is so chic and slick. The two really don't work well together. However the Tekken ensemble works perfectly with Venus Fly and I can imagine being slayed to this. I don't know if I understand the second song choice. It's hard for me to really put down in words how the switch from Venus Fly to Burlesque has me feeling but it's not a good feeling. Being the bad gay I am, I've never seen Burlesque and I don't get the assassin reference you mention. Die Another Day fits MUCH better with the assassin theme you're going for. I would have really loved this entry if you expanded your descriptions more - for example you can't change from that Tekken ensemble into top hat & women's jacket without changing your bottom half and I want to know how you did that. I also wished Express wasn't in there because it really stands out for the wrong reasons in the middle of your set.
Runway
The first of the girls to really choose a black look and just use orange makeup to accessorize. I do love the wig and I can see the Marvel's Medusa reference once you provided the picture but I wish there was a couple of other small super hero details thrown into the look to make it cohesive.
---
Angel Oleander
Challenge
At first glance, I wish there was more effort and expansion here. The entry is really short, and if you were unsure of what to send you could have checked out entries for the two previous seasons. Walking on Air is one of my favorites and from what you've described, the transition from that to Dangerous Woman works with your theme very well. I've never heard Freakshow before so I would have loved a link to listen to that so I can't speak to how that would work with your performance. Overall I do like that there is a story for this but again just wish it was expanded more for ease of understanding.
Runway
You have a black runway with an orange lip and a blonde wig. To me this doesn't really fit the criteria for the challenge. From what I understand of the dress, it seems nice but the presentation of it doesn't really work because I thought it was a shoe for a while.
---
Pixel Dark
Challenge
I LOVE that you made your own mix for this challenge but also shared the songs used within the mix. It shows the extra effort that some others were lacking this challenge. I did slightly yelp at Acacia's return only for her to be stabbed by Pixel. Love the idea for the transition into the second song and the campiness I imagine for this performance. AND THEN THE HETERO HEELS poor Phresh. It's so gruesome and campy at the same time and I can imagine it as performance at Miss Gay USA circa 2006 mixed with a Columbine-esque killer's revenge. It's just sad that this will be you're only performance since you'll be in prison for the rest of your life nn. I know the gruesomeness was the goal but I just wish the performance was designed in a way that you could repeat it.
Runway
I like the idea of giving a shoutout to Acacia Wine but just like with Angel's look, it's black with just orange makeup and I think it's a cheap way to do the challenge. Orange gloves, shoes, purse, or cigarette holder would have all made this look more cohesive for the challenge.
---
Nellie Boddum
Challenge
I wish you could have linked to the songs in your entry so I knew exactly what you were talking about. The only song I'm familiar with is the first one, so I had to look up the second two and I'm unsure if I even found the correct second song since the title is censored. I do get the Pride vibes from all the songs that I listened to at least. I love the idea and the costume for the first song. I understand the idea for the second song but it's giving me Tempest meets Katya vibes and idk if that would be a good thing for you. The costume reveal in the third song is overdone but it works for the song. I would have loved knowing the transitions between the songs and costumes though.
Runway
Your first look is very similar to Pixel Dark's and I would have read you for not having enough orange but I love the idea of the reveal and that you're using a lot of your orange in the second outfit. I'm not sure I love the pumpkin bra and Jack-o-Latern bottoms but it's campy and drag so I'm not hating on it much. Probably your best outfit I've seen from you this competition. Just continue adding more details to your looks and making sure everything is exactly like you want (for example the hair the second outfit looks like a bob with extensions at the bottom). One quick suggestion would be to outline the body in a darker pen so we can see it easier.
---
Kunty Clarkson
Challenge
I think you have one of the most cohesive performances and the three songs really tell a story from one to another. You have a great understanding of how a real drag performance would run and everything made immediate sense to me. Something you're going to have to remember is that this is a fantasy game so make sure you use that to your full advantage - the thought that everything had to be realistically drag was something that held me back in my time competing on the show. I did love the cute little gags, like Max saying you're nasty or you dressing up as E.T. and getting into a gogo dancer's bicycle cart. Overall great job.
Runway
Girl, you have an orange ponytail and an orange necklace and ring and that's the extent of the color. What I do like about the outfit is that you didn't strictly stay in black and orange and added some aspects of silver in there which separates you from a lot of the others. Taste wise, the outfit is great but I just WISH there was more orange in there, even if it was just the belt and/or shoes.
---
Tangerine
Challenge
Let me read you like you read me most of last season jk. It's a great drag outfit for a high energy performance, just a little simple but not a big issue. The first song is PERFECT in my opinion, a fantastic choice. The OutKast song is an odd choice but I can see how it would work. A solid tight lip sync would be really impressive to this. The last song is a great choice too and I love how you saved it for last. The three songs together are pretty cohesive and while I understand that you're not a high drag character, I do wish there was a little bit of a story to this. From this performance, I am imagining Tangerine as a skinny Jaidynn Diorre Fierce so I'm hoping that's what you're going for.
Runway
You already knew that people were going drag you with the beginning of your description here. I was honestly expecting you to kill this runway, seeing as tangerine is a shade of orange. It's not a bad look but like a bunch of others, I wish it wasn't a black dress with orange accessories. If you were going for the whole lesbian artist look, I would have LOVED a paintbrush with orange paint and some orange splatters all over you.
---
MoonChild
Challenge
I am screaming at the fact that Naomi Smalls became a wig model when did this happen? Anyway you have the most cohesive story out of all the entries in my opinion, even if Alice is a little overdone. The song choices fit perfectly with your story as well. The first song fits perfectly with the idea of you falling into wonderland, Maniac is perfect for turning crazy, and girl do you understand how obsessed Chanel and I are with Heads Will Roll? What I really love is that the songs fit together well without being too weird because I can see each of the songs are pop and dance enough that it works for a drag performance. My only concern like I said earlier is that the Alice in Wonderland idea is a pretty popular idea and I would have loved something a bit more original. Great job though.
Runway
While I LOVE the fact that you didn't submit a black dress with orange accessories like most everyone else, I almost wish there a bit more black in here. Since the black part of the dress is mesh, it doesn't come off immediately as black and the gold accents also take away a tiny bit from the theme. But still, this outfit showed thought and I do like how it ties into your challenge.
---
Eve Saint Laurence
Challenge
Sis. There is no excuse for it. I competed twice just like you're doing now but I still did two different entries for this challenge, and the only thing you did differently was move from the title of the songs from below the video to above the video. Song choices are fine but the laziness of the entry ruins any positives you have to be honest.
Runway
There is none.

My paint is without a doubt the most creative .. but since my dress wasn't up to par for you that automatically makes me as a whole.. basic and not creative?

Episode 3
Sissy That Lip Sync - Safety
Ladies! This week, some of you really lip synced the house down (boots underneath the cement). And some of you... would lose against Pearl in a LSFYL (and no, that's not a pun; you actually just suck).
Would the following queens come forward:
Allure
Kunty Clarkson
Nellie Boddum
Nina Williams
Pixel Dark
