You sound like a profoundly nasty and unhappy human being.
What people do behind closed doors is their own business but the OP clearly stated that their roommate has been airing out their dirty laundry the whole time. That's annoying as ****. The two guys sound way too immature to be considering a serious relationship & if they're gonna keep asking for advice, the OP is gonna have an opinion about it. No need to be an asshole.
How do you go from talking about being married to saying your okay with being in a open relationship?
I agree but it's their relationship. Just tell him that you don't care and you don't understand open relationships or something. It's okay if you don't have an advice for him. You're not a psychologist.

1. Anyways, this just sounds like your typical gay relationship now a days lol..
2. It does sound like their relationship is dependent on sex.
If he keeps asking you for advice then just tell him the truth about what you think of open relationships.
1. Sadly
2. Every open relationship is dependent on sex. That's why they're in an open relationship. It's all about sex and it's not a surprise that the OP talks about two gay men and the fact that many gay relationships are open relationships. Gay culture itself is all about sex, hooking up etc.
I think your friend should stay away and leave... you. You're not a good friend. The only advice I can give to you is stop being so judgmental. If the relationship didn't work for him someday, just being there for your friend and lend your support. That's what a good friend should do.

I just want to say that they're relationship has problems but the problem isn't an open relationship. There's nothing wrong with open relationships and it has nothing to do with marriage. At the end of he day, a solid marriage/ relationship is built on trust, the open relationship thing isn't the most relevant
