I was actually surprised she was coming to South America, she's not really popular here, not even close to how big she is/was in North America (since the GP doesn't listen to rnb here).
In Brazil she is/used to be as big as Whitney, for example. She is well known and has a pretty large/supportive fan base BUT artists that are past their peak have absolutely no chance on booking stadiums here except rare exceptions (U2, Madonna). Add that to poor economy + expensive tickets and things go even worse.
