I fell in love (not just a crush, actual deep feelings kinda thing) with a guy I had just met. I thought he could be gay, to discover that he's a religious homophobe. Unfortunately, I got the chance to get to know him much better over the summer, we're sort of friends now, but I'm still seriously in love. He seems very interested in being friends one day, and very disinterested the next. It's really weird.

I know that if I say something, he'll be out of my life forever. I'm just enjoying being friendly with him, and I'm keeping positive that another guy or a girl will make me feel that way... It's just too intense.

The point is, I think if you're too scared to eff a working relationship up completely, just find a way to feel it internally. It'll be harder on you, but I'm hoping it'll pay off better in the long run?

don't tell him ever. it will get better in future. I was madly in love with my best friend when I was 15. I'd buy him almost anything he wanted and gave him a new phone and iPod just because he wanted it. It would literally kill me inside when he talked about other girls that I would actually cry thinking about it. But in the end I never really told him. He's straight and will always be. I had to respect that and knew that nothing will come out of it. just hang on tight hun, it will get better with time!

best of way of getting someone interest is by almost ignoring them, sis you're acting like you're obsessed, you're making it harder for yourself and even if he is bi he'll lose interest.
be more distant, see if he reaches out, either way it will make it easier for you to break this thing out that way.

Dddd this is so cute I fell for one of my straight friends in Junior year of high school too. When you're in the same group but seem to be connecting even better than the others it feels so right. You just gotta keep it real and not become obsessed sis, you'll slowly set yourself up for disappointment over time until you learn to get over him and settle for a platonic friendship. Which I get is lame, even tho you know he's straight and it sucks it's also exciting to just imagine otherwise and play up the little things in your mind. Me af. There's this guy in a couple of my classes that I find strangely attractive based on his intelligence and personality, and I can't tell if he's straight or gay.
