The 31-year-old actress' project in development is titled The Beautiful and the Damned, a play on F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Beautiful and Damned." Zelda was married to the famous writer and was considered his muse.

Scarlett and Millennium Films have the cooperation of the Fitzgerald estate as well.

It was announced last week that Jennifer Lawrence has a Zelda biopic in the works with the help of director Ron Howard. There is no word yet which production will be ready to go into production first, or which will hit theaters sooner.

Uhhh it's probably the other way around. Scarlett has yet to have an impressive acting performance with accolades whereas I can argue that JLaw has at least two. I bet JLaw's will get the wide release too. I like Scarlett but I see JLaw winning the Zelda battle
