Patti smith is madonna's friend and goes to her movie premiers, she's supported artists like cindy sherman and worked with bjork. even noel gallagher goes to madonna's concerts, and this man doesn't like ANYONE unless they're punk/rock stars

but I think what people are saying is that madonna is underrated as a songwriter, producer, and also as a musician (M plays guitar, the drums, and piano and some violin), and gaga seems to laugh to feed the urban legend of pop girls not being talented and that only "she" is.
