BTW, these types of accidents are extremely rare. You are more likely going to die on the way there or going home than on a ride if you're going by car. There's no reason to be afraid of rides in general. However, if a ride has a history of accidents, you should be a little worried.

I've been on similar rides to this. My favorite has a similar conveyor belt. However, the planks on this one are much, much more spaced out. The ones I've been on only have a gap for maybe a hand or arm. These look like entire bodies can fit in them It also appears to be self-built, so it would effectively be the park's fault if it's a design flaw.

The paramedic said that some of them had "injuries inconsistent with life" which likely means that they were either decapitated or their heads were crushed. It's such an unlikely way to go
