Which one do you think had the best first career so far: Rihanna or Taylor Swift?
Rihanna released eight albums, but Taylor was always around and had huge album sales so they're even. And I'm also taking about their power, influence and impact WW, not only in the US.
Taylor's fans buy her ****. She has a very dedicated following. Rihanna was probably bigger with the general public. Rih was on a constant cycle of albums, she was never really not on the radio.
Taylor >>>>> Rihanna. Neither has had substantial impact. Taylor's seen acts like Echo Smith and The Band Perry follow in her footsteps whereas Rihanna has clones in the bane of Jhene Aiko.
Neither has had any true impact on the soundscape or general videography since they kinda follow trends.

Whitney has the biggest first decade for a female, followed by Mariah and then Britney and then Madonna. Madonna had the most successful second and third decades so far for any females. Taylor ain't even close to the top 5.
