I hate how Trump has convinced so many working class white people in waning industrial sectors that he's going to magically bring their jobs back somehow when the products bearing his name are not even made in the U.S.

It's individual donations. So if you're a professor at a UC, a librarian, or even a cafeteria worker - and you donate to Hillary's campaign, it all goes into the same umbrella.
I honestly don't think they always donate for 'favours'. I think they may donate to the candidate who is best for the economy and therefore their business. I mean, you might not know it, but businesses like Obama. He is steady and the economy under his power has proven to work. An Hillary Clinton administration will most probably be an extension of Obama's economic policies.
