If you are fan of Demi, don't dare to comment on someone else's technique while your fave is wrecking her vocal chords every single night. Nicole sounded amazing and her technique was good enough, proof is the fact she hit every note effortlessly. Her voice did sound a little bit dry, but that's more a matter of not warming up correctly rather than technique.
