The whole "#Pray4R8" and "Will ANTI outsell ARTPOP?" threads were made on the daily.

The Monsters weren't the only ones saying those things and it's not as if the Navy wasn't hating on Gaga hardcore during the ARTPOP era. All of ATRL was. Both sides are equally guilty so stop trying to villianize the Monsters and play the victim. There are members of the Navy always shading Gaga just like there's the same vice versa.

Not to mention all the promo Gaga had done over the past 3 years; Oscars (x2), Grammys, Superbowl (this year!), was on TV every week on AHS and so on... all that to repair her image and attract new fans and the whole campaign still failed.
Pure sales #s are obviously boosted by the Amazon discount. Would've been around 100k without it.
