it's kinda surreal that LADY GAGA, arguably one of the biggest and most important artists of the 2010s, is selling on par with Ariana Grande these days..and that 135k is 'good' for her.

the quality of her music declined so it's understandable that audience disconnected, but i lowkey miss her days on top.

I predicted 18k so I am shocked. Maybe they meant 35k

Isn't Gaga coming off from ARTPOP (aka the biggest underperformance for a pop girl in recent history), while Ari is coming from My Everything (with about 3 Top 10 singles and tons of promotion)?

Gaga might outsell in pure sales a new IT pop girl, 8 years into her career, and with a country/folk/pop record. I think this is rather impressive

Gaga seemed to be over, done, finished after ARTPOP and now ya'll acting like she should pull massive numbers 3 years later.

Remeber that ARTPOP had 3 WHOLE MONTHS of pre-orders which automatically led to the album being front-loaded (over 100k sales came from per-orders alone), while Joanne was on pre-order for only 2 weeks.

More so, ARTPOP had VMAs, iTunes Festival exposure for the album on main page, GMA and others while Joanne had none of these.

I honestly thought she's do maximum 100k so this is pretty darn good.
