I interviewed a soap star a few months ago and casually referenced it re: his workout playlist, he's since added various ones to his list. We talk about it every now and again on FB.
I have to say that Pentagon won the rookie battle with SF9 by FAR.
SF9 just feels like any nugu group with outdated songs and style, I hope their Heart Attack is coming cause this debut didn't grab my attention at all. Pentagon is much more current and interesing + their mini is a slay. They might not have Rowoon but overall the members seem more charismatic and vibrant. While SF9 has Rowoon, Dawon, that leader rapper and the rest literally blends into one person.
tbh they listen. They just keep it on the low bc of embarrassment/people judging them....kinda like how when I was in the 10th grade and still had Cheetah Girls/Jonas Brothers on my iPod so I wouldn't let anyone borrow it. The friend I know from work overheard me doing the whistle part of "Whistle" and her first words to me is "YOU KNOW BLACKPINK!?"
That was literally the first time we spoke
I guess there are a lot of gg stans in my area then.
I can understand the embarrassment.
There's this one time when I was riding in a car with 3 of my friends that do not listen to K-Pop
So I grabbed the auxiliary cord quick and played some k-pop songs for them
They didn't really give a lot of positive feedback, they said k-pop is lame, annoying etc
BUT they did praise Luna's Free Somebody
One time my family walked in when I SANG to Everybody, I didn't even notice so my father had to do "ahem" sound ;sdfgdgf
This probably the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me

The universal acclaim
I hope they bought the EP on iTunes
