Pat of the issue is the way HIV-positive men are treated. They're pushed off to the side and into a culture where bareback sex and breeding parties are 'okay' since they already have it, but then we're seeing mutated (maybe the wrong word - I mean 'stronger') strains of the virus developing and then, if someone with the strain has sex with someone even on PrEP, we're seeing these measures fail.

Both education and de-stigmatization need to occur.

Why is that weird? A lot of people like anonymous, NSA sex. The thing they gain is sex. They're not looking for a relationship or friendship and the anonymous encounter is exciting for them.

Gays can be so stupid sometimes. Firstly PrEP is not a full proof thing by definition. Secondly, there are other STDs that as much dangerous as HIV. If they're going to have sex with other people, they MUST use protection.

In any case, the man infected had unprotected sex with a HIV+ person who wasn't even undetectable. He knew the risks. It is what it is.
