I really loved how she described the album as a big "hug". It's so true

I had my doubts about her ability to produce honest, heartstring-tugging music. But she completely came through and exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't be ashamed to call myself a little monster

Not that big of a deal but she should have kept it at saying she's different since Madonna does in fact write but it's being blown out of proportion. She's tired of being compared to Madonna just like any other popstar would be if they were incessantly compared to another artist.

What I got from it is that she's pretty much tired of the comparisons, especially since people trashed her so hard years back for those comparisons and Madonna even probably hurt her feelings. She's clearly moved on from that (given the part about respecting her, she's the biggest pop star ever, etc and her snapping pics with her at the Met Gala), but she just wants her narrative to be hers, not compared to someone elses...especially to someone she's gotten so many comparisons to that's gotten her hate.

I don't want her to 'smash' per say. The music is good so therefore I hope it was well received and people enjoy it

People not enjoying it doesn't affect me. It is merely their behaviour that embarrasses and disgusts me. But those people have been removed. I don't deal with rudeness in person so why should I have to put up with it from adolescents online?

As for Gaga's newly-found outspoken, take-no-s*** attitude - it impresses me greatly and reminds me why I love artists like Amy and Rihanna. They're not afraid to speak their mind. If Gaga has got something to say, then she shall say it and no one on this planet except her parents and faith can question it

This direction was expected and people who appreciate artistry and music shall welcome it with open arms

I would agree if she had stopped after saying the first part, but then she went on saying that "she writes her own music & plays multiple instruments" as if Madonna doesn't
