She also said that what she does is different to what Madonna does, as she's not just rehearsing over and over again to put on a show, according to her she's actually spontaneous and she spend hours in the studio, writes her own music, and produces. The context being that those are the characteristics that separate her from Madonna. Which is all total ******** as Madonna does all of that.

The GP in 2016 doesn'5 care about Gaga OR Madonna so it's not like Joanne was trying to use the other's name for publicity.
