The damage control certainly helped. It could've been a lot worse, for sure. In full honesty, this is her first consistent solo album in years that is truly meaningful to her. If she puts out a few more albums like this, I think acclaim will come more naturally.

Perhaps it's because he's male and she's female and it's therefore not as interesting as vs Madonna
