I'm baffled by how many people I see looking at their phones while driving.

Not only is it extremely dangerous, it slows other people down because the person texting isn't paying attention to green lights and their surroundings. I guess it's just an extension of how people are addicted to their phones.

What are you thoughts? Do you participate in this annoying practice?

No. I've done it only a couple times and it's actually really scary how easily you can lose yourself on the road. Ontario just recently passed new distracted driving laws though and you can get a huge fine, so I don't see it happening as much anymore.

It's never is. It's so easy to lose control no matter how good of a driver you are. Hell even when stopped, I seen people basically run the light because they were texting without looking to see if the light was green

These laws don't stop people. Unless they're extremely enforced.

I only do it when I'm at a red light, and that's only sometimes.

Only when you're stopped at traffic lights and there's other cars in front of you so you know when it's ready to move again

My state passed some harsh laws a while ago but it doesn't seem to deter a lot of people. It's definitely hard to enforce due to the ratio of citizens to police officers

I can't believe some people think it's acceptable. My mom texts and drives (while being a terrible driver to begin with) yet ALWAYS wants to be the one driving when others are with her. I don't **** with that, driving with her is genuinely dangerous and she just won't listen to reason
