Patrick Carney has always been super picky, opinionated and outspoken like this. The difference between someone like him and someone like the Chainsmokers IMO, is that the Chainsmokers are new and they're Pop. They feel like much more of a brand than the Black Keys are.
The Black Keys have been around for years, they're not mainstream, and Patrick truly doesn't give a **** about what people think of him.
