I went to the show yesterday. Nicki's set was hands down the best of the show like nothing else even came close. Everyone was going crazy around me rapping her songs. She connected so well with the audience. She's also way more attractive in person/live which shocked me because she was so beautiful. Her ass was a bit too large though
The setlist was perfect except for when she did her most recent freestyle song because no one knew the lyrics
Beyoncé was also amazing. The crowd didn't cheer as hard for her performance as during Nicki's but that's because her entrance at the beginning was after Kevin Garrett's lame af piano ballad and it was so random that Bey just randomly appeared on stage. It felt liked we weren't even warmed up for her yet. Also, everyone was standing and filming/snap chatting because we were all in awe. Like you could feel the worship in the air. I had no idea her ear was bleeding, and I thought the performance was cool but it was nothing compared to Formation Tour. She was also the most talked about after the entire show because I heard her name like a 1000 times while getting on to the subway. Her All Night performance seemed much, much better. I wish she performed something upbeat, too. 6 Inch didn't really work in a festival setting, and she didn't do any choreo at all
. Second best set of the night. Her speech was kind of awkward but super adorable
You can tell she gets really nervous talking onstage and forgets what she's saying, like that feeling when you're giving a presentation in front of class.
Common was actually really good. His freestyle(?) where he was acapella and talked about Trayvon really resonated. Third best.
Nobody was here for Lauryn Hill, and I was so pissed. She gave a legendary performance, but the audio was kind of ****ed up so you couldn't really hear her rap clearly. Everyone started sitting after that first (new?) song she performed. I was still rapping along since she's my fave. 4th best.
Alicia Keys, even though I hated her, really got the audience going. I guess on TV she seems really boring, but somehow live she's more interesting and connects with the crowd. 5th best.
The concert was so long though and the beginning and middle (after Bey) was so boring. Even Blood Orange was so boring
People were really here for DNCE, TIP, and Lil Yachty as well. Nobody was here for Bebe Rexha and literally everyone around me sat down when she performed
I was so glad Danielle's performance was short since it was boring. Sir The Baptist also was pretty bad, too.
