Mariah to work with Teddy Riley (MJ, GaGa)
As we all know, Mariah has returned to the recording studio to work on a new album. On Friday, April 9th, she announced excitely on Twitter: "To all the Lambs in the land..Finally!!!Me& Jermash are in his studio reliving the splendor working on new ish."
Jermash is, of course, Jermaine Dupri whom Mariah collaborated with on many songs including the #1 hits: "Always Be My Baby" (Daydream, 1995), "We Belong Together" (The Emancipation of Mimi, 2005) and "Don't Forget About Us" (The Emancipation of Mimi Re-release, 2005). His co-writing and producing partners Bryan-Michael Cox and Johnta Austin are also involved in the project.
Producer Teddy Riley has shown interest on the new Mariah album. On Sunday, April 11th, Jermaine tweeted Teddy that he was working with Mariah, and in reply, Teddy offered, "Would like to do a joint with you for the LP."
It will be Mariah's first time to work with Teddy Riley should this come to fruition. Teddy's long list of production credits include, Michael Jackson's "Remember The Time," Whitney Houston's "Step By Step," Backstreet's "No Diggity," Lady Gaga's "Teeth," and Keith Sweat's "Make It Last Forever" which Mariah interpolated into the "Thank God I Found You" remix in 1999.

Mariah tweeted something about "making another song of the decade" and how only the lambs can "make it happen." The #1s act is getting old, I hope she starts to relax and put out music that she actually enjoys.

YASSS!! Mariah is NOT playing games this time around! I am SO glad she is back with JD, but I agree with Eli, I hope this is not going to be another formulaic album. I hope she takes her time and really puts some work into it.

Eh, she's gonna keep a formula. Which is sad because she used to want to break formula, back in the late 90s. So, in that case hopefully it's a new formula.

I don't see it happening... not with JD. They're going to try to "recreate" Emancipation. Again.

YES! Mariah is doing everything she can to make this hot I hope she works with Danja again, he produced Migrate and it was one of the best songs from E=MC! I would like to see her reunite with Walter and make some killer ballads again! Maybe she should work with Will.I.Am again as well and just try to put her own spin on the electro pop that's going on? I would like to see another "Time Of Your Life" type of song xD

I hope she really works her but off on this album.
And I hope she doesn't try to re-create "The Emancipation" cause she probably already knows that it won't work this time.
And I also hope she doesn't put out another childish album like "E=MC2". It was good, but it didn't really fit her.

People were talking the same thing when she was releasing MOAIA and E=MC2, look at how it turned out to be. Stop talkin' and show me what you've got Mimi.

Mariah needs new people and new surroundings to work with. For recent years, she's been doing the same over and over again thinking that it's hot and new and updated. She has to gain insights from people who has a renewed perspective of the music and it's industry. If she can do that, she'll understand the true definition of 're-invention', of which Madonna have perfected.

I'm excited for this collaboration!
It's going to be hot.
However, I must agree. It's all happening too soon.
She really needed a break for awhile so she could comeback bigger than ever.

^E=MC2 had soooooooooo much potential to be as successful as TEOM......but it was just the wrong single choices............can you blieve they didnt release "Migrate", "Im That Chick", "Last Kiss","For the record", and "Side Effects" as singles......they all had #1 potential..
