I do it. I don't get how it's nasty. Ketchup and cheese is a good combo. Like is it weird to put Ketchup in a cheeseburger? No so this shouldn't be weird
Meat with cheese and ketchup is not the same as pasta with cheese and ketchup, textures and flavors.
I tried it and hated it.
Though yes I do use maple syrup on eggs. I usually pour maple syrup on like hashbrowns and if some leaks on to my eggs i do not mind i just eat it and dip it.
