How is it surprising that the TV show that formed them called them the biggest girl group in the world? Numerous TV shows and magazines have called 5H the biggest girl group in the world too

Korea don't release digital album sales, Gaon only do individual track sales.
Same for Japan & Oricon.
I'm sure 5H and LM would be knocked down even more spots if those sales were revealed.

Exactly. The point is that TV shows and magazines love to hype up artists they interview etc by calling them the "biggest ____ in the world!!1!", it's all meaningless so making threads about it is pointless.
