Compared to other pop girls in eras right now, Ari looks like she's doing well. It ain't because your single is getting to #10 that you're a main pop girl. Once Katy and Tay return, it'll really become clear as to what it takes to be a main pop girl.

People always forget Ariana is only three years into her career. Three years into her career and she's already competing with the well-established pop girls. She has the most streamed album by a female artist on Spotify. With the way Dangerous Woman is gaining (getting the second most streams only behind Views), she'll probably end up having the two most streamed albums by a female artist. She's already the 16th most viewed artist of all time on YouTube (and rapidly gaining - she'll pass Adele in a few days). She's about to get her 8th top 10. Her "flop" album is already the 9th best selling album released in 2016, even though sales are a weak point for Ariana. Her first world tour grossed over 40 million. What other pop girls that have debuted this decade have even close to Ariana's impact, relevance, and success? Meghan? People always want to write Ariana off, but then someone like Zara Larsson gets a top 15 hit and suddenly she's "coming for main status". I don't get it.
