Pretty much everyone agrees that the plot is very predictable and formulaic. It's visually impressive but otherwise it sucks

Nobody rates it that highly for anything beyond the visuals which is why it made so much anyway so not really.

I don't think it's overrated simply because...nobody...rates it. It's weird that it's the most successful movie ever because everyone I've ever heard/seen talk about it has said how it's average at best. A true Warholian experience.
