Isn't the present theory that humans are the only species to possess the unique type of intelligence to experience / express a complex emotion like love (romantic attraction)? And that obviously most species can experience other emotions too, but they're usually not advanced / complex ones, usually limited to things like joy, anger, fear, etc.
Isn't there another theory that humans are the only species that can cry as a sign of sorrow?
But the thought of me being burned to ashes is also sad tbh. Imagine seeing your loved ones's dead body being burned to ashes with no traces of them left behind but their ash. But it's also the same with burial. The difference is it'll be more costly and you'll rot underground with all that gross but natural stuff. It's sad when your grave is old and untreated, even worse if no one goes to visit it again although it means nothing to the dead person, it's kinda sad when I go visit my relative's grave and I see a lonely, old, abandoned gravestone
