R&B singer Michel'le has a story to tell in the forthcoming Lifetime biopic Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me. Surviving Compton will tackle the Los Angeles native's journey through the turbulent days of N.W.A's stardom after being signed to Eazy E's Ruthless Records, becoming Dr. Dre's girlfriend and forming romantic ties to Suge Knight. Michel'le, best known for her 1990 hit single "No More Lies," will be played by Lincoln Heights star Rhyon Nicole Brown. Michel'le will narrate the film formerly called "Girl From The Hood," which premieres as "Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel'le" Saturday, Oct. 15 8 p.m., Lifetime.
It's sad how many women normalize abuse... all the women in her life were brainwashed. Back in the day that type of thinking was even more prevalent, and even encouraged by community leaders. I wouldn't be surprised if they were abused, too.
