That's why radio should not be counted into BB Hot 100, it's just label and radio politics. Remember the whole radio vs RCA fiasco for Make Me ? A freaking guy from RCA sent radios a letter asking why Make Me AI would not surge when the sales did surge.

I'm definitely not opposed to this. It's bad enough that songs get more exposure through radio payola (disproportionate to their sales and streams). I mean, Dangerous Woman had a great sales and streaming debut but a mediocre radio debut. Yet it still debuted at #10 on the Hot 100. I can only imagine how much higher it would have gone with radio support.

You guys keep saying that it will take some time for this to smash, but the GP usually catches on to new songs through radio exposure, and 24K Magic already has huge radio exposure PLUS a video. It's gotten 20 consecutive red updates. Even the huge amount of payola can't save its streams or sales.

It may rise, but I would be surprised. I love Bruno, but there's no catchy hook to the song that the GP loves to hear on the radio. The verses are long and largely indistinguishable, and there's nothing the GP can repeat over and over again like there was in Uptown Funk ("uptown funk you up, uptown funk you up" or "don't believe me just watch"). It's the laid back, more mature, cousin of Uptown Funk and I think it didn't really tick any of the boxes for a massive smash.
