Sam Callahan has broken his silence after a video of himself performing a sex act leaked online.
The X Factor star, who appears completely naked in the viral video, can be seen pleasuring himself for another person in the clip.
Speaking to The Sun , Sam explained that the video in question was filmed a couple of years ago.
He said: “This was a couple of years ago. I was only a teenage lad, I hold my hands up.”
The video was initially put up for sale, before leaking onto social media where it began doing the rounds.
Sam claims that he was catfished online, and soon realised he wasn't actually talking and sending videos to the person he thought.
He explained: “I was young and foolish back then, unfortunately I wrongly trusted the person I was speaking to at the time and was completely betrayed and catfished.
“I want to apologise to everyone who has been supporting me, especially my friends and family. I never meant to hurt or upset anyone.
“What was at the time a bit of fun has turned on me to bite me back and it’s a lesson learned. It’s made me grow up very quickly and also shown me that I am too trusting of people.”
