nuff respek) but the ISO recognises it as its own language (it has its own language code;
jam).
it's a creole, meaning that it's a natural language that is used in a community (jamaica, jamaican diaspora) and is learnt by children (jamaicans, children of the jamaican diaspora), and has its own grammar system and lexicon.
