I'll use myself as an example, artists I love and support (Avril, Kesha etc) I always buy either a physical CD or a digital copy of their music. Different audiences have different consumption habits.
Rap/hip-hop audiences have been streaming for years and they're NOT ~only streaming acts they don't want to pay for. It's just a cultural thing.
There's also a lot of overlap for the most successful pure sales and most successful streaming acts.
