I feel Meghan pulls a Radar-esque move with Co-writing tracks and then demanding herself to be featured on the track, otherwise the group can't record her (co-)written tracks
Like Radar's producers forced Britney to release it and even move it as bonustrack on Circus since she could only take the track IF she would release it as single.
