It happened to me once I think...I realized that my dream was just a dream and wanted to wake up but I just couldn't move or speak...I was trying to say "mama" but I don't think I managed that...then after some suferring I woke up finally....It wasn't that bad tho cos I forgot about it the next day. Never had one since that.

I've had it happen to me once and it was the scariest moment of my life. I talked to my mum about it about a month ago and she told me she used to have nightmares/dreams about "a man in a top hat" when she was in her twenties and I have the same dreams now.

Yes, It is the ****ing worst thing ever.

Yes, it happens a lot when I try to take a nap in the middle of the day. It's scary every time but I've only ever had the sensation of thinking someone / a creature is above me twice, it was kinda traumatic. A lot of times it feels like I'm spinning around but can't control my movement. I know it's happening every time it does so I just try to keep focused and wait for my body to wake up. It just feels different and uncomfortable and you can't really explain it.

I forgot to mention the scariest part (for me), I always hear sounds. Sometimes it just sounds like muffled noises or like people quietly talking. Freaks me out every time.

Lucid dreaming is so awesome, i have this technique that when i'm dreaming i pinch my nose and if i can breathe through my nose it means that i'm dreaming and i suddenly become aware that i'm dreaming and i'm able to control my dreams you have to practice it and there are more techniques to help.

the worst part of lucid dreaming is when you become aware and you get way too excited you snap out of it and wake up

Only once but thank god I quickly realized I was awake and snapped out of it b4 I started seeing ****. I nearly fell off the bed cuz I couldn't move and put so much force into my body trying to so when I snapped out all that force nearly threw me off the bed

omg, it happened to me only once. I couldn't move and i swear i heard someone knock, come into my room, and ask me weird ****. The person didn't seem to remember coming to my room. I'd heard about it before so I was surprisingly calm, and the only reason I remembered it even happened was because I was convinced the questions were real, so when I asked about them I remembered that I physically couldn't get up to answer the door myself. This literally happened to me yesterday lmao. I had a false awakening, and at some point i pulled a wallet out of a wallet and I was so excited that i literally shouted 'THIS IS A DREAM' at myself, causing me to wake up. I was so dissapointed lol.

Yup, every time I sleep on my back it happens.

My friend has it all the time. She says she's being choked by a shadow, and when she looks around her room (while being paralysed) she sees scary/creepy people

It just happened to me again a few hours ago.

That was terrifying... That was the worst one in awhile. I heard the front door open, looked at the entrance to my room and saw a shadowy figure drift through so I immediately closed my eyes. I felt the other side of my bed get heavier then felt a strong and loud presence get closer and closer to me until it was right in front of me. I kept my eyes closed because I didn't wanna open them and see 'it'. I've done that mistake before. It felt like the life was being drained out of me. It's so hard to explain. I was checking my phone like one minute before, until I realized my body was frozen. I knew it was coming. I'm too terrified and teary eyed to attempt to sleep again for now. This happens on a weekly basis now, but hardly to the extent of where I feel another presence, like this one. I'm done.
