Listen. I was so hyped for this and now I'm not even going to buy a ticket. One of my all-time favorite directors: canceled.

Saw this today, it was good but the end was messy, especially the scene
of the skeletons fighting the hollows at the end
and Samuel L. Jackson was HORRIBLE

It was a mess...
the further the movie went along the more it strayed from the book:
Why did they switch Emma's and Olive's characters?
Why did Tim Burton rarely focus on the "Peculiar children"...they and their interactions are what made the book good.
The hollows stole souls, not eyeballs to look more human and we didn't find that out till the second book.
Grandpa didn't come back to life in the first 2 books, I have yet to read the third so I guess that's spoiled for me now
Miss Perigrine stays a bird in the book but is human at the end of the movie.
The ghost ship, them coming to 2016, the skeleton fight scene, the lack of the epic lighthouse fight scene with Emma, Jake, and Dr. Golan from the first book, and the fact that at the end Jake is a time traveling expert.
I haven't been so disappointed in a movie in a long while...Tim Burton has turned into a hack director!
Props to Eva Green and Allison Janney for being the lone bright spots in this otherwise elephant turd of a movie.

Are they setting this up to become a franchise or is this just a one and done thing?
