I'm actually in favour of Scottish independence, if that's what Scotland wants.

However leaving before we leave the EU is an act of objective madness:
- EU membership won't be just granted to Scotland, they will have to apply like everyone else
- Their finances will need assessing by the EU, requiring them to be totally independent for several years
- France & Spain will never agree to their EU membership because its a validation of separatists movements, which they are both trying to suppress in their respective countries

Leaving one economic and political union (the EU) is crazy enough, to leave another one (the UK) would be... it would just be totally insane

Now the bottom has fallen out of oil production, what does Sturgeon propose to enable Scots to fend for themselves? The world is a different place to the last #IndyRef tbh. No shade, I just don't know enough about other cogs in the Scottish economy.

There wasn't any kind of proportional representation in the Brexit vote, it was one person - one vote.

I'm all for Scottish independence if it's what Scottish people want (as disastrous as it would be), but polling suggests public opinion hasn't shifted since 2014. It's a pointless exercise. The country is already divided and in enough turmoil, the last thing we need to do is make it worse.

Yet another waste of taxpayers money by the SNP. Who cares how much is spent as long as Nicola Sturgeon can score cheap political points.

As was said before, I doubt France or Spain would ever give separatist movements the validation of EU membership, and with the complete ruination of the worth of Scotland's oil reserves, there isn't much economic case for it either.

It's barely been two years, give it a rest and start governing your nation, Nicola.

It won't pass, and Theresa won't allow a second referendum in three years, lettuce revisit the issue in 20 years or so. Wasn't this a 'once-in-a-generation vote' 45ers? 30 nos and a yes means yes right?

Clearly you know NOTHING about Spain if you think EU membership will be easy.

Also, I'm from Northern Ireland - current polls in favour of remaining part of the UK are around 70% to stay part of UK and less than 20% for reunification. That will never happen.
