This isn't a big deal, at all. Rebels in Yemen randomly launched missiles at the US ship twice while operating in international waters, which is illegal. This is standard protocol, and now the rebels know they'll get completely obliterated if they try again.
Obama wants all the missles launched now just in case Trump gets elected. Better Obama orders missles on Yemen than Trump ordering missles on Mexico City, Shanghai, Moscow, Paris, or anywhere else he can locate on a map.
