However, I find it a bit hypocritical how progressive gay liberals will tear down Christians for not supporting gay marriage or adoption, while supporting Islam, when the majority of Islam is opposed to homosexuality PERIOD. You don't even exist to them. In their text, we deserve to be thrown off of buildings. That's really what Islam says about us. lol

idk the same people who are critical of Christianity are critical of Islam in my experience.

Go back as far as 1946, okay.
But if you take it as far back as 5th century BCE, you find that Israel was renamed Palestine by their Roman conquerors, in order to insult them. During the years of the Ottoman Empire, Palestine was simply used to describe land that was 'south of Syria'. Finally, immediately prior to independence from its British mandate, Palestine included the lands that became Israel, Gaza, the West Bank and Jordan.
Let's not question Israel's right to exist when you are completely unaware of history before 1946.

Oop at you outing yourself as a Zionist and literal genocide denier.
Things suddenly make... a lot more sense.
Please don't respond to my posts if you're an advocate for genocide. You will not get a response. Thank you.

The problem is that Western gays live in predominantly Christian societies, but with secular states. While they are protected by our Western secular democracies which gives us freedom to do many things, many people(women, kids, LGBT, atheists, religious minorities) are vilified in Middle East/North Africa in MUSLIM countries, mostly confessional states. So, both religions are highly detrimental to LGBT people and should not be respected, due to their opposition to actual freedom.

So you don't think Israel has a right to exist? So we're clear, if you believe that, you'll be promptly added to a short list of people whose opinions I cannot tolerate.

The factual existence of designated curfews, an apartheid wall, disproportional death tolls and excessive militant force isn't evidence of an ethnic cleaning to you? Just say you hate brown folks and keep it moving.
"You have no arguments to prove apartheid despite the literal structural system of apartheid occurring against Palestine by Israel!!"

if I "hate brown folks" as you suggest, then I wouldn't find Arabs or latinos attractive
again, stop mixing islam with race. I dislike the way Islamic religion impacts today's society and people who follow such dangerous religion. Is it that hard to understand? I woke up today and I saw you on ATRL, went to collage and came back and I still see you arguing all day and night on ATRL. Gurl, go out and take so fresh air, maybe then you will understand that islam =/= race for the 999999999999999999th time.
Good night now!

And the accusations of racism fly around again. Classic.
No. As far as the situation in the Middle East, I actually think my personal hope for a two-state solution is the more reasonable. I'm not the one calling for the complete abolition of an entire country, and the homeland of millions of Jews worldwide. Sorry, you're the one mentioning genocide as your preferred end-point if you question the right of Israel to exist.
As for the actions of the Israeli government, I have never publically voiced any support whatsoever. But I stand by the Israeli people, and I stand by the country as the only true, free democracy in the Middle East.

Did you just try to skip over you not knowing what apartheid is by talking about how you find Arab and Latino folks (.........who...aren't all brown??) hot?
I'd say go outside, but I doubt Croatia has anything worth seeing outside, which would explain why you spend so much time online desperately seeking the approval of first world white supremacists & alt-rightists by pandering ignorance and pseudo-intellectual thought-wank like an Angsty Atheist.

I've yet to see that around here tbh. Seems like Christianity is everyone's favorite scapegoat on ATRL.

First of all, it's not your community, it's OUR community.
Second of all, my original post was referring to the fact that in present day America Muslims are, in fact, more vilified than LGB people and recieve far less (positive) media representation than us. There are, without doubt, other places where this is not true, and there are obviously a number of (Islamic) countries that persecute and kill LGBT+ people, but I was speaking based on my opinion of my own culture.
Third of all, I agree that a person's sexuality is something they are while their religious faith is something that they believe. However, I disagree with the notion that any person chooses to adhere to a religion. The overwhelming majority of people are inducted into a religion before they're old enough to walk, and are taught throughout their life to follow that religion. People don't choose to believe a religious text—they are taught to believe a religious text, and their own interpretations and experiences determine whether or not they agree with / believe what they are taught.
Fourth of all, because you got into this discussion with another member, I might as well conclude by stating that I have a degree in sociology and that I have a particular focus on (American) LGBT+ issues.

I'm confused are they actually defending Islam the religion, or those that simply practice it or look as if they come from a region that predominately practices it, because those are two very different things and I'm pretty sure you're not really seeing the former.

Eh, it's usually the manner of criticism that is different. These liberals will wantonly attack Christianity and sometimes even Christians in general, while they instinctively err on the side of defending Islam, unless you repeatedly remind them that you oppose all religions equally. Even after that, expect dozens of "but Christianity too!" responses, even though you've already conceded that Christianity is **** too I see it all the time, especially in college here in my blue state. It's because liberals - especially young ones - are hypersensitive to issues like racism and discrimination in all forms. And here in the US, Muslims are a "minority", thus most liberals won't attack their faith with impunity, like they will Christians (who we naturally envision as mostly white, Ted Cruz-type Evangelicals ( ) or Southern/Midwestern hillbillies. It reminds me of how people like Bill Maher and other antitheists ruthlessly attacked Christianity and blatantly made fun of it's practitioners for years, yet only after they attacked Islam did they become controversial figures among liberals.
Yes, those people are being hypocritical. Limiting it to gays seems to carry the somewhat ugly implication that we should all have some vendetta against Muslims. There are plenty of gay muslims and/or gays of other faiths. SJWs The people who bash one faith (especially an Abrahamic one) for it's discrimination or ugliness, but race to defend another are indeed hypocritical, and honestly insufferable.

oh henny
this whole post is sig worthy
First of all, Croatia is a tourist country, so I would've suggest to you to educate yourself on geography rather than your tumblr mess before attempting to throw shade back. I literally SCREAMED at your ignorance. Truly tragic
and it seems to me to I must've hit the right nerve seeing this whole meltodown to begin with. I wasn't even trying to get personal, I just stated facts but you took it personal. Seems like facts do indeed hurt.
