There might be a way out for Paul Ryan now that Trump's attacking him. When Trump loses he is somewhat entitled to reform the GOP and be the standard-bearer.

I think Hillary would still beat him if they compete in 2020 though. She's extremely shrewd and can steamroll him with a huge aggressive campaign (the sort she's running atm) or outsmart him in a debate.
