FLAC has a lot better quality than mp3. that's why it's more expensive

16-bit/44.1kHz is typical CD quality therefore better than MP3 therefore more costly.

btw if you're going to buy the FLAC version be careful because the FLAC files can't be played in some music players (for example iTunes) and the size of a FLAC file is about 3 times bigger than mp3

24-bit/96kHz = Studio quality

also, don't bother with FLAC unless you have GOOD earphones....otherwise you won't hear any difference.

It means you're digitally downloading the high quality lossless file. The same quality as if you bought it on a CD.

Its better quality but unless you have hifi headphones you wont notice much of a difference 320 is fine. FLAC files also take up much more space on your phone cause they are larger than mp3.

Its still better to have. Its for archiving purposes, and since technology moves fast you don't want that crap quality song in your library 10 years from now. I have songs from 2006 that sound like garbage now because I used MP3 or AAC.

Reasons why the answer is no:

They're Bluetooth, so they transmit data at a much lower quality.

They're low powered, since you likely don't have a DAC which means it won't transmit the audio correctly unless you buy an LG V20 which comes with a high powered DAC. Or you can buy a separate DAC.

They're Dr. Dre, so they aren't high end at all just pricey.

You'll need high end headphone models from Audio-Technica, Sennheiser, Sony, etc (only the high end models).

You'd love FLAC if you're an audiophile. I don't care much for it and tend to avoid FLAC unless it's the only available format I can get for an album mainly because music players such as Spotify don't support them which means I have to convert them to .mp3 which takes SO long. I tend to stick with good ol, 320kbps.
