A young woman who had her photo stolen off social media and used in **** websites is calling on regulators to crack down on an emerging practice known as "parasite" or "morph" ****.
Key points:
Noelle Martin found the images after reverse image searching a Facebook picture
She is fighting for doctored images to be included in revenge **** laws
Authorities say currently it is very difficult to get images taken down
Noelle Martin was just 17 years old when predators stole a "selfie" she posted on her Facebook feed and plastered it over **** websites around the world.
Ms Martin was 18 when she discovered her image had been stolen and has been fighting websites to have her image taken down since.
She said when she asked one site to remove her photo the webmaster tried to blackmail her.
He asked for nude images of her for his own private collection in exchange for removing her photos from the public site.
This should already be covered by intellectual property laws. It was her photo. She's the photographer. It belongs to her and shouldn't, under already established laws, be able to be altered, used or transmitted without her consent.
