From what I understand, you can only win a libel suit if you can prove that the falsehood tarnished your brand. People on social media speculated about the validity of the robbery story before the media did just because of her prior history with publicity stunts, and even after more details were released, the majority of people still believe Kim. I don't see how this one random website hurt her reputation.
I don't think people care for the Kardashians anymore so that's why she's trying to do damage control.
