Well I have no sympathy for criminals. With that being said, obviously prison rape or any kind of rape is wrong and disgusting but you take that risk when you break the law so it is what it is.

Some are, some aren't. They're already being punished by being in prison. I seriously cannot believe that you and other users like 'Cookie' that posted a minute ago are actually defending this. Do you have any idea how painful, traumatic, damaging, horrifying rape is? And to say "well they're bad people, they made bad decisions, it is what it isr". What the actual ****.

^ A sign I've won the argument. Logic always wins. Good night! I hope you realize that men in prisons are still human beings and the vast majority aren't in there for horrific offenses, and even if they are, it's barbaric to think it's ok for them to be subjected to rape.

Why should I have sympathy for murderers, sociopaths, drug dealers, pedophiles, child molesters, gang members etc? Rape is terrible obviously but what you're not realizing is that most people in prison have committed horrible acts themselves. If they're willing to do it to others, why should I care if it happens to them? I'm not condoning it but I'm also not gonna 'fight for their rights' lol they lost that when they became criminals. You seem very defensive about this but if you actually knew what kind of people they keep in prison I'm pretty sure your attitude would change.

Not everyone in prison actually broke the law, some are are falsely imprisoned. Secondly, saying you have no compassion for people who broke the law is the big issue in countries where the prison system is a systematic failure such as the US. Not only that, but do you also realize how many prisoners are in jail for things that didn't hurt anyone at all. Why do those people, deserve no sympathy?

There's nothing wrong with fighting for criminal's humans rights I guess. But to act like it's some sort of universal injustice is also a lot to expect. lots of people don't commit crimes so they don't end up in a jail, since it's more than likely someone will attempt to rape you. It happens because criminals aren't good people, and an institution like a prison can only do so much about controlling people's natures.

A petty criminal is nowhere near as bad as a murder. Someone who failed to pay their taxes is nowhere near as bad as pedophile. Would you really put someone who committed copyright infringement on the same level as a sociopath?

Prisoners with offenses as grave as you're suggesting make up only 10% of the total prison population, in which case about 90% of inmates are not murderers, sociopaths, and child molesters.

Because they're "males" and also because of our culture of not really being forgiving to criminals or those jailed.
