i was thinking about booting up my Wii to play the metroid prime series (remastered wii versions) but im not sure if it will look right on an hd tv? Not buying a wiiU. So i was wondering if wii has hdmi support, if not, is the quality horrible without it?

Nope. You can get a component cable that will output at 480p but thats it.
