I think it really does matter what you're addicted to. Im sure some drugs are harder than others to get over

Your future and well-being is worth WAY more than this. You can survive without your phone for a few weeks/months but there's a high chance you won't survive untreated addiction. Sorry for being so blunt but it's true.

Have you confided in any friends or family? They can push you towards doing the right thing. Going to rehab now when you're young and there's plenty of time to turn your life around >>> wasting away from addiction and going when you've hurt too many people/burned too many bridges.

You're worried about living without your phone for a short time when the alternative is that you likely won't live at all past a certain age? Girl.

I have several family members who have struggled with addiction to some really nasty stuff, like heroine. If you don't take control of your life now you'll likely ruin it beyond repair. Go to rehab and fix your life.

OT: I can't give an advice to you in this, I never had a friend who had an addiction, and I don't have it either, so I have no clue how to deal with it. I could only say cliches like finding a hobby that you would do instead of it, but I really don't know if that would help you or not. I can only wish you the bests! Stay strong!

well it kinda depends on what's pulling you in. is it people? is it your current situation, mental disorder or something else?
the best advice I can give you based on so little info is to try and distract yourself with something else and seek professional help.

Rehab or some type of inpatient care. Trust me. It will change your life.

Addictions tend to have the same pathway and are usually what people do to self-medicate or sedate themselves from something else.

Unfortunately, ATRL has too many friendless losers with several mental issues so this would not be the place I would seek help. But, although I haven't dealt with drug addiction, I have been in a similar place and my best suggestion would be to seek help. It can be scary, but I promise you have nothing to lose and there are people out there who care and will not judge you. Your family will not go anywhere, they will still be there. And a few months of rehab is pretty much nothing compared to a life long time dealing with it.

I was hooked on meth after I got back from Afghanistan for almost 2 years (No I'm not ashamed of admitting this because I have helped a lot of people turn their lives around who have had this addiction and I've felt proud). I don't know it just helped me cope with everything and since it kept me up I didn't deal with nightmares and my PTSD. I got to a point where I almost lost everything. I seeked help and they told me to focus on what I love and what my passion is so I went to culinary school and now I'm doing what I love and traveling around the world keeping myself busy. I exercise daily and listen to music. That and I met someone that works for the federal government and fell in love and that has kept from doing anything illegal and it's worked. I think I'm over my addiction and I'm feeling healthier than ever. You can too

Awww just think of the people who care about you and think about how you're overcoming d**** for them. You don't need d**** to feel high. You can just be spiritual high with things such as religion and music. Also pray to God to help you get through this rough in your life.
