I just started a call center job 3 weeks ago. basically connecting people to interpreters of every language in the world. Im learning a lot and I dont have to hear customers bitch just ask them what language they need and its prerecorded so i dont have to say it all day and connect them. Some of the calls are juicy and i can stay and listen in. We get calls from abortion clinics 911 lawyers hospitals schools ect... I have a software with billingial interpeters to help these people out that dont speak the language. I figured it was only spanish people but i see a new language every day. All sorts of people are here in the US that dont speak English. its pretty interesting and I have my own desk and they pay me 13 an hour with overtime! I can also use my cellphone since we don't take down private information or credit cards. I always choose call center jobs that do tech support or customer service but this is different the person doesn't really want to talk to me and just need a translator and im not solving any issues like everywhere else. The one thing all call centers ive worked have in common its just bitching customers. Except this one! Im basically an operator! I love it so far but there are no cute boys at work. After a year I can work from home as well not sure if id like that or love that
