But women can do what they want, if they want to take their husband's name fine and if they don't that's fine too.

This is such a non-issue, I took my husband's name and I don't feel opressed at all, pff. It was my choice. Yes, you have your choice when you marry what will be your surname, what would be your childrens' surname.

IDK I understand if a woman is famous with her name and doesn't want to change it but personally, I find double-names simply inconvinient especially whe both are long ones like mine and my husband's.

Traditions can be changed.

Slavery used to be a tradition too, racism used to be a tradition too and witch hunting as well.

But it's still her choice to do so. A woman has the right to be a homemaker with her husband's last name just as she has the right to be neither or a combination of the above. Traditions help shape culture which gives many people purpose and an idea of values. Traditions do change with time, and as of 2016 (in America) a woman has the right to chose her last name. Not choosing her husband's name won't get her burned at stake
