My criticism for Gaga has always been that she is a celebrity over a musician. Her hypocritical "music not the bling" ARTPOP phase left a bad taste in my mouth: not only was the music dated and noisy, but lacked substance. At the same time, her theatrical antics took a turn for the extreme. She was being outrageous for the sake of it, while paying her musical career dust.
But tables have turned, and I'll give credit where it's due. Her aesthetic is on point, the music is captivating, and her personality is a lot more pleasant. I really do like this new direction she's taking. I'm not ashamed to call myself a fan of hers anymore.
That brings me to say that if the snippets aren't misleading, I will be vocal about my love for the album. If the album turns out to be a complete miss, however, there's no doubt I'll express my criticism (which I guess would lead you to label me an "OGH"). What I'm not going to do is pretend to like something I don't, just for the sake of adhering to 'status quo'.
But so far, miss Joanne seems legendary so I'll have a coin set aside to purchase her when she hits the shelves. No worries.
