The justice system is not infallible. As long as the potential for wrongful convictions exists and racial biases pervade the system, the death penalty cannot be argued for.
I am for it, some people just need to die. However, it only needs to be used in cases where this is absolutely no chance that the wrong person was convicted. The current system is not working that well. How exactly they would judge that, I'm not sure.
I feel like killing another human is disgusting. We are supposed to be these "intelligent" people, yet we still act like wild animals. You are no better than ISIS who is stoning and beheading people or any other human society in the past that tortured other people to death.
I don't really care if people who actually committed heinous crimes are executed but there's always room for human error, biases against minorities exists, and it's just really bad financially.
I'm in favor of the death penalty within 5 years of a conviction. Granted I want evidence. If it's somebody who was caught on film opening fire or an open and shut case, bye.
I think with forensics having come so far there should be little doubt about who did what.

No one mentioned horrible killing methods or torture until death, just simply ending the criminal's life.
Simple. If someone has committed something like shooting tens of people in a gay club, he doesn't deserve to stay alive.
Next question: the PATRIOT Act: should the US government be able to tap into private internet logs or phone information? Or take suspected terroirists in and interrogate them without sufficient evidence?
I just saw Snowden and they way the government "used to" see your everyday life scared the **** out of me. I wonder if **** like that is true. Also when I watch Scandal and the CIA captures terrorists and tortures them under the PATRIOT Act lowkey scares me too. But I'm not sure if all that is real.
I disagree with a lot of the patriot act. I also disagree with how and why it was started.
It was never about security. It was about knowledge and control. We had enough info about 9/11 but nothing was done about it. Now it's like we should all walk around naked and expect no privacy. That's ********
