I remember reading a book: "Slave", about a girl called Mende Nazer. She lived in the Nuba mountains in South Sudan, living a traditional tribal life. An Arab group one day raided the camp, set it alight, and abducted all the children including her. She lived as a slave for years in Sudan and suffered physical and mental abuse. She was then sent by her "owners" to London, to work for relatives there. She managed to escape.

The British weren't racially motivated and used them on the other side of the world. The standard cheap slaves were the Irish. Slave trade from Africa was started as a premium product: clean souls, not the enemy-within, not tainted by the wrong faith, not touched by ideology,... sold at 10 times the price of Irish slaves. The slave owners treated their black slaves better than their Irish slaves, because they were expensive.

The US is racially motivated and their law enforcement still treat black lives as less valuable than white lives. Institutional and state-run racism, meaning that there is a majority still voting to keep it going on and on.

Because South Africa had way worse segregation than the US.

Surely we can't overlook the segregation and treatment of Christians in Jews in many Arab countries that happens right now...
