There is no such thing as "scientifically proven." Science only deals with evidence, not proofs. Proofs exist only in logic and mathematics. Proofs are final and can't be refuted. In contrast, scientific explanations are not final and can be refuted. The most basic rule of science is it is never possible to prove a scientific theory true, but it must be possible in principle to prove a theory false.
